The American Indians gave thanks to the animal and apologized for needing to take its life to sustain theirs. I understand needing to kill to eat and live and sometimes the population of wild animals is unbalanced and needs to be adjusted. What I don't understand is people liking killing just for the sake of killing. Animals are just trying to make a living in a rough world, as we humans are. Being kind is a privilege and taking care of God's creatures is our responsibility. Try it, it will make you feel good about yourself. You can still tromp around the wilderness and try to find beautiful, wild animals. Stop killing them so you can find them and perhaps some will still be there for your children's children to see. The Fox Hunters may have had there place years ago but the collateral damage to other wildlife by the pack of dogs is an awful thing. Harassing and killing as a social activity and sport? What has man become? Real men protect the innocent at all costs, they do not enjoy reckless, useless slaughter.
